Art After Dark is a monthly event in San Luis Obispo where local artists feature their work in small businesses downtown. I chose to redesign their marketing to better explain + showcase the event for potential visitors for a student design competition.
To create the logo, I handlettered the title and vectorized it in Illustrator. I applied the neon effect to convey the artistic + nighttime feel of the event, and to echo the neon lights in the image of the Fremont Theater, a San Luis Obispo landmark located near the event. To further the chances of a viewer attending the event, I created a fictional marketing campaign that encouraged use of the #ArtAfterDark hashtag on Facebook and Twitter.
